Tehran protests over 'anti-Iran' Turkish media

Iran says it has summoned the Turkish ambassador in Tehran to express strong dissatisfaction over a rise in what it called anti-Iran propaganda in the Turkish mass media.

The Iranian news agency said the foreign ministry in Tehran also warned the ambassador over accusations against Iranian diplomats in Turkey of alleged involvement in the murder of Turkish writers.

It said Ankara should not try to blame its domestic troubles on others.

On Wednesday, the Turkish prime minister, Bulent Ecevit, accused Iran of supporting groups hostile to the Turkish state, such as Kurds and others exploiting religion.
