In pictures: Walkway collapse
The collapse of a a pedestrian footbridge at a motor racing event in the US state of North Carolina has left dozens injured, some of them seriously.

Rescue vehicles and workers surrounded the pedestrian bridge after it collapsed to pull out the injured

The walkway snapped in the centre and folded onto the four-lane road below

The stock car race drew some 180,000 spectators, with 75 people believed to be on the bridge when it collapsed
