Chelsea win FA Cup

The most prestigious football competition in England, the FA Cup Final, has been won by the London-based club, Chelsea.

Chelsea beat Aston Villa from Birmingham in the English Midlands one-nil.

The goal was scored by the Italian midfielder, Roberto Di Matteo, in the seventy-third minute.

The cup was handed over to the Chelsea captain, Dennis Wise -- the only English player in a multi-national squad.

This year's final was the last to be played at the Wembley stadium in north London before it is demolished to make way for a new ground on the same site.
