Dutch fireworks owner under custody

One of the owners of a fireworks warehouse which exploded in the Dutch town of Enschede last week, killing at least seventeen people, has been arrested.

The man, Willem Pater, who has fled the town after the blast, turned himself into police.

The authorities issued international arrest warrants for the two owners of the warehouse.

The other owner Ruud Bakker is still missing.

Ten people are still unaccounted for, and officials believe the final death toll will be at least twenty.

The explosion demolished a residential area.

As more funerals take place, the victims have been commemorated in Enshede, with a silent march attended by fifteen thousand people.
