Dutch police quiz fireworks factory owners
Police in the Netherlands have been questioning the two owners of a fireworks factory that exploded in the town of Enschede last week, killing at least sixteen people. The second owner gave himself up earlier on Saturday, a day after his co-owner did so. Warrants had been issued for the arrest of the two men. They're being investigated over alleged irregularities in the way the fireworks were stored at the factory, which was in the middle of a residential area. More than nine-hundred people were injured in the explosion. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
