Attempted coup in Paraguay
The authorities in Paraguay say they have regained control following an attempted coup by a group of army officers. The uprising began when officers loyal to the the former army commander, Lino Oviedo, used armoured vehicles to shell the congress building in the capital, Asuncion. Most of the armed forces have remained loyal to President Luis Gonzalez Macchi. Stephen Cviic reports from Sao Paolo.
