Man injured in attack
![]() A man is being treated for a gunshot wound after a paramilitary-style attack in County Antrim.
The 37-year-old man suffered a bullet wound to his right leg in the attack at the rear of garages on Doric Drive in the Antiville area of Larne. He is in a stable condition in hospital. The shooting happened at about 2300 BST on Thursday night.
Councillor McKee said such incidents tarnished the image of Larne. Mr McKee said: "It is just one in a long list of recent atrocities. "These incidents are giving the wrong image to the town. It is doing nothing to bring investment to the borough. "Those who carry out terrorist attacks in the name of loyalism do not have the support of the vast majority of unionist people who are sick, sore and tired of the name of Larne being dragged down each week." The police in Larne have launched an investigation into the incident.
