Yousuf saves Pakistan

Pakistan 253 all out, WI 2-0
Yousuf Youhana hit his second Test century to revive a faltering Pakistan on the first day of the second Test against West Indies in Barbados. Yousuf's magnificent 115 set up a Pakistan total of 253, after the tourists had been in ruins at 37-5 inside the first 75 minutes. West Indies safely negotiated two overs before the close to reach two without loss. Sherwin Campbell was two and Adrian Griffith yet to score. World record holder Courtney Walsh sent the early ripples through the Pakistan order and finished with 5-22-13.
Youhana's innings prompted a battling fightback from the Pakistan lower order. With captain Moin Khan at the crease, the visitors added 73 for the sixth wicket in just 72 minutes. Wasim Akram then hit another half century to keep the revival going and Saqlain Mushtaq and Waqar Younis also provided support - the last three wickets adding 74 runs. Visitors falter Earlier in the day, a fine performance in the field from West Indies left Pakistan staring at a dismal total. After winning the toss and electing to bat, they crashed to seven for three inside a half-hour and then to 37-5. Walsh started the rout, helped in no small measure by Adams at third slip, the captain's sprawling right-handed catch accounting for Mohammad Wasim. Two wickets followed at the same score, Ambrose removing new opener Imran Nazir and Walsh returning to dismiss Younis Khan for a duck. Nazir, included at the expense of out-of-form Wajahatullah Wasti, made just two before his ill-judged cut was edged to first slip where Campbell held a simple catch. Younis Khan also edged Walsh, with Chanderpaul taking a comfortable catch at second slip. Vice-captain Inzamam-ul-Haq added 27 for the fourth wicket with Yousuf Youhana. But the West Indies got his prize wicket when King found the edge of his probing bat, Adams again clinging on at third slip. The fourth fast bowler, McLean, the got in on the act, dismissing Abdur Razzaq who was caught at short leg as he fended off a bouncer. Scorecard Pakistan first innings
