Sweden squad announced
![]() Fredrik Ljungberg will be helping the Swedish cause
Swedish coach Tommy Soderberg has named a squad of 20 players for Euro 2000, with two more to be added on May 26.
The side's build-up to the tournament has been severely hampered by a succession of crucial injuries. So Soderberg has given himself and those injured more time before filling the two vacant places. Celtic striker Henrik Larsson is one of those in contention and still has a chance of making the championship after suffering a broken leg last year. Andreas Andersson is definitely missing with a knee ligament problem and Sunderland's Stefan Schwarz, Manchester United's Jesper Blomqvist and AIK's Pontus Kåmark have also been ruled out through injury. The Swedish representatives from the English Premiership are Coventry's Magnus Hedman and Tomas Gustafsson, Sheffield Wednesday's Niclas Alexandersson and Arsenal's Fredrik Ljungberg. Squad - Provisional 20 (two to be added on 26 May)
