Eagles sue California restaurant
Rock group The Eagles are suing a Dallas restaurateur for allegedly violating their trademark by naming the eatery the Hotel California Grill.
Bill Arnold defended the name, saying: "This is a restaurant, not a song. We're not infringing on the rights of Don Henley, Glenn Frey or anyone." A legal spokesman for the group declined to comment on the case. Hotel California sold 15 million copies for the band in 1976.
Halliwell in Therapy for album Geri Halliwell's next album will be linked to her forthcoming movie Therapy, she has announced. The former Spice Girl says the album will contain "two or three" songs written for the film, about a woman who has an affair with her therapist. Halliwell was working on her second solo album when she read the script. But she told the trade magazine Daily Variety: "I'm going to make sure this album works with my film".
Stallone abandons Rocky Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone has abandoned his long-held plans for a Rocky VI as he cannot come up with a suitable script or story. The 53-year-old actor, who said last year he intended to star in the next episode of the boxing films, says he is now too old to portray a fighter. Irwin Winkler, producer of all the Rocky films, says: "Sly has the desire but he does not have the idea." Stallone can next be seen in D-Tox.
Crowe flies from helicopter Gladiator star Russell Crowe is putting his muscles to good use in his next film, The Proof of Life, where he has taken to performing his own stunts. Crowe, 36, ditched the stuntmen in the opening sequence, which calls for him to hang from a helicopter. He told the film's director, Taylor Hackford: "I'd rather this be real and the audience know it's me." He is currently filming with Meg Ryan in the jungle outside Quito, Ecuador.
Delia's Canaries recipes TV chef Delia Cook is to serve up some of the recipes that made her famous in her own restaurant located in her beloved Norwich City Football Club. Delia, a life-long Canaries fan and a shareholder in the club, currently provides catering on match days. However, she has now decided to open a restaurant called The City Brasserie at the Carrow Road ground. "We're going to open Saturday nights with a view to extending to Fridays if we're successful. After that who knows," says Delia.
