Floods hit West Timor

Official reports in Indonesia say at least thirty-eight people have been killed by floods in West Timor.

Hundreds of homes have been submerged, and it's not known what happened to hundreds more people who've been cut off by floodwaters up to two metres deep.

Reports say rescue efforts have been hampered because flooding has swept away the only bridge in the affected area central Malaka near the border with East Timor.
