Storms kill five in Argentina

At least five people are reported to have been killed by violent storms in Argentina.

One four-year-old boy died in a mudslide in Buenos Aires province, and three other children were killed when a tree fell on a shelter in Rosario, in Santa Fe province.

A man was reported to have died after stepping on a fallen power line in Buenos Aires.

Around twenty-five-thousand people evacuated their homes to escape rising flood waters, after more than two-hundred milimetres of rain fell in two days.

The mayor of Buenos Aires, Enrique Olivera, said the situation was beginning to return to normal by Wednesday morning.
