Sri Lankan bomb blast kills 17
The civil war in Sri Lanka has caught fire again in the Tamil area of the Jaffna Peninsula, with Tamil Tiger guerrillas capturing several government bases, and advancing on the town of Jaffna. The war has now spread from the north to the east of the country to the town of Batticalao, where a bomb exploded killing many. The BBC's Suzannah Price reports.
