| In 1980 troops suppressed a protest against martial law in the southern city of Kwangju.The official death toll was put at just over 200 but local people believe up to 2000 died. Many people who disappeared are still missing. As the BBC's Caroline Gluck reports two decades on, there's been no independent investigation.
