Car restrictions begin in Beijing

Traffic restrictions have come into force in the Chinese capital Beijing, to try to reduce the smog and ease congestion in time for the Olympic Games.

Vehicles with even and odd number plates will only be allowed to use the roads on alternate days.

Dan Griffiths reports from Beijing.
