Strike leaves France starved of cash
The latest talks aimed at putting an end to the strike by the French security van drivers have failed. The strike has left more than half of cash machines empty, and correspondents say the problems are particularly bad at the Cannes film festival. Shopkeepers say they too are experiencing difficulties.
