Gregory Peck: Six decades on the big screen

The movie follows him around the US as he goes on the road with his one-man show.

Peck, who graced the big screen for six decades before moving on to the live circuit, gives a frank account of his personal and professional life, including relationships with some of his fellow stars.

He is probably best remembered for his role as Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mocking Bird, which finally earned him an Oscar after nominations for The Keys of the Kingdom, The Yearling, Gentleman's Agreement and Twelve O'Clock High.

In 1991 he and Robert Mitchum had cameo roles in Cape Fear, nearly 30 years after starring in the original classic.

Michael Flatley: Planning to be lord of the cinema
Riverdance creator Michael Flatley is also in Cannes, where he has announced he is launching a film career.

The dancer is to star in and co-write The Lord of the Dance, a movie version of his hit stage show, which he has performed to more than six million people worldwide.

The film, which will be directed by Tony Palmer, goes into production in the autumn, shooting on location in the UK, Ireland and the United States.

It will be co-scripted by Shane Connaughton of My Left Foot fame. The names of Flatley's co-stars will be announced shortly.
