Moonwalk

About 15,000 women spent Saturday night walking through central London to raise money for breast cancer research charity Walk the Walk in its annual "moonwalk" event.

Rosimeiri Boxall

Rosimeiri Boxall, 19, died after falling from the third floor window of a flat in Blackheath, south-east London. Two girls, aged 13 and 17, were arrested and released on bail.

Bus crash

Pedestrian Emily Diamond, 23, was killed when branches torn from a tree by a passing bus landed on top of her on Wednesday. An investigation is looking at the stability of the Tower Bridge Road tree.

Dalai Lama at Royal Albert Hall

The Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader, gave a public talk at the Royal Albert Hall during a 10-day trip to the UK. Protesters, including a group of Buddhist monks, chanted and waved banners outside.

Police and fans at Fulham Broadway

Around 400 football fans clashed with police in west London after Chelsea's defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League final. A total of 13 people were arrested and released on bail.

Magda Pniewska

A teenager was found guilty of killing care assistant Magda Pniewska, 26, during a shoot-out with another youth in New Cross, south London. Armel Gnango, 17, will be sentenced next month.

Kew Garden treetop walkway

A walkway 18m (59ft) above ground was unveiled at London's Kew Gardens, enabling visitors to explore the treetop canopy of sweet chestnuts, limes and deciduous oaks.

Gordon Brown

Prime Minister Gordon Brown saw construction begin on the 2012 Olympic Stadium in east London on Thursday, as the International Olympic Committee praised the progress London was making.

Image in the Telectroscope

A new device shows visitors in Tower Bridge live silent images from Brooklyn Bridge, New York - and vice versa. Inventor and artist Paul St George claims the Telectroscope uses a secret tunnel.
