St Valentine's Day has been accepted by younger generations in Shanghai and has become a popular annual event. It is a busy time for florists.
Romantics in Hong Kong are spoilt for choice when it comes to buying flowers.
Bombay, India, claims to have the world's largest Valentine's Day card. More than 5,000 messages have been written on the large canvas, which an ice-cream company plans to enter in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Around 214 Malaysian ethnic-Chinese couples took their wedding vows at the Kuala Lumpur Buddhist temple on 14 February.
Narong Padupsin, 29, and Charinee Duangvilai, 30, were one of 52 couples who married on a new train in Bangkok, Thailand. The train opened on the King's birthday on 5 December.
Love is in the air at SeaWorld Orlando, USA. Two of the park's killer whales Shamu and Namu show their affection.
Valentine's Day has even reached Mars. A bright, heart-shaped mesa on the surface of Mars was viewed by the Mars Global Surveyor Orbiter spacecraft in November, but was released in time for 14 February. The mesa, or elevated tableland, measures about 255 metres across, and is located on Mars' south polar region. |
