Croatia promises better ties with Bosnia The Croatian Foreign Minister, Tonino Picula, has said improving relations with Bosnia-Hercegovina will be one of the main priorities of the new centre-left government in Zagreb. Speaking in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo during his first visit abroad, Mr Picula said his country was now committed to the Dayton peace agreement which ended the Bosnian war. He promised a speedy resolution of the many problems between the two countries, saying progress would also help Croatia's efforts to join the European Union. The previous Croatian government had been criticised for its support to Bosnian Croats, and slowness in implementing the Dayton accord. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
