Hamas man dies in bomb blast Palestinian police say a member of the militant Islamic movement, Hamas, has been killed and another injured in a bomb explosion in the West Bank. The two men were said to have been making the bomb when it exploded near the village of Buruqin, south of the West Bank town of Nablus. The Israeli army later imposed a curfew on Buruqin. Hamas is opposed to the 1993 peace accords with Israel and has carried out a number of attacks on Israeli targets. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
