US trade mission visits Nigeria The United States' special envoy to Africa, Jesse Jackson, is in Lagos at the head of a trade delegation to Nigeria. He said the climate was now ripe for business and foreign investment in Nigeria. He described Nigeria as being blessed with markets, money, location and talents -- ingredients, he said, that made it attractive to US investors. The trade mission is made up of businesspeople and experts in the fields of energy, telecommunications, agriculture, transportation and insurance. The delegation, which arrived from Ghana, is expected to leave for South Africa at the end of its visit to Nigeria. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
