Man charged with double murder
A man has been charged with a double murder in a seaside resort and the attempted murder of a wealthy businessman 200 miles away. James Chopswood Morrison, 40, from Rochdale, Greater Manchester, will appear at Brough Magistrates Court in East Yorkshire on Thursday charged with the murder of 44-year-old Patricia Price and fellow heroin addict Ian Clark, 35, on 18 December last year. The couple were found, in separate rooms, at a house in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, by Ms Price's lesbian lover Billy Jo Robson, 28, when she returned home from a nightclub. Morrison, who is currently of no fixed abode, is further charged with the attempted murder of 40-year-old Trevor Shine, the director of a market research company, who survived being shot in the head at his home in Brookwood, near Woking, Surrey, on 1 December. Police have also named another man they would like to speak to in connection with the offences. 'Extremely dangerous' Raymond Whittaker, 33, otherwise known as Tikki, is thought to be staying on a travellers' site, possibly in London or the south of England. Mr Whittaker, who also used the aliases of Andrew Nichol and Nicholas Cass, has relatives in Lancashire, South Yorkshire, Manchester and Wales. A Surrey police spokeswoman said: "The investigating officers are taking the unusual step of releasing the identity of this man in an endeavour to locate and speak to him. "This man is believed to be extremely dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public." He is described as white, six feet tall and of slim build, with blue eyes and cropped, dark brown receding hair. He often wears combat-style clothing with a dark woollen hat. Anyone with any information should contact Humberside police on 01377 241882 or Surrey police on 01483 482690. A third man, Gary Rose, 18, from Bridlington, was charged last month with aiding and abetting the murder.
