Iraq denial over Tehran mortars

Iraq has denied any involvement in Saturday's mortar attack in Tehran, which killed one person and damaged offices used by former President Rafsanjani.

The Iraqis were responding to Iranian warnings that they must curtail the activities of the Iraqi-based opposition group, the People's Mujahedin, which said it carried out the attack.

The Iraqi news agency INA said Iraq did not interfere in the group's internal, political or military affairs and had nothing to do with the mortar blasts.
