Tunisian foreign minister in Israel The Tunisian foreign minister, Tahar Seoud, has held talks in Jerusalem with his Israeli counterpart, David Levy. It's the first time that such a high-ranking Tunisian official has visited Israel. The two sides agreed to set up a committee to promote tourism and commercial links. They were also expected to discuss diplomatic ties -- they agreed four years ago to set up interest sections in each other's countries. Mr Seoud, however, said Tunisia's relations with Israel were progressing slowly -- like the Middle East peace process. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
