Hunt for man linked to double murder

Police say the suspect is 'extremely dangerous'

A nationwide hunt has been launched for an "extremely dangerous" man in connection with a double murder police believe is linked to a drugs vendetta.

Police arrested a 40-year-old man on Sunday in connection with the shootings of Patricia Price, 44, and Ian Clark, 33, whose bodies were found in a house in Bridlington, East Yorkshire on 18 December.

Both victims had been shot through the head.

Police are now searching for a second man, who is believed to have called at the terraced home of the mother and her lodger on the night before their bodies were discovered.

Dangerous

After taking the unusual step of releasing details of the 33-year-old man, police warned he is extremely dangerous and should not be approached.

The man, Paul Whittaker - also known as Whitworth or Wild - is believed to have fled from a travellers' site in north London on Sunday, while the other man was being arrested.

Mr Whittaker, who is nicknamed "Tikki", has also used the aliases of Andrew Jamie Nichol and Nicholas Francis Cass, is believed to have relatives in Lancashire, South Yorkshire, Manchester, London and Wales.

Police believe he has been living in different parts of the country, working on fairgrounds and carrying out other casual labour.

He is described as white, 6ft tall, slim with blue eyes and is known to dress in army clothing.

The man arrested in London on Sunday has been taken to East Yorkshire and will be questioned by Humberside officers on Monday.

Anyone with information should contact the major incident room on 01377 241 882 or any police station.
