Israel attacks Hezbollah targets Israeli warplanes are reported to have attacked suspected Hezbollah bases in southern Lebanon just hours after the guerilla group attacked Israeli positions. Israeli officials said that two missiles were fired near Soujoud, in the north of the Israeli-occupied zone. The hilltop post was abondoned by Israel's allies, the South Lebanon Army, after it had come under repeated attack from Hezbollah. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
