Robertson rocket sinks Motherwell

Motherwell 0-3 Dundee

A glorious Hugh Robertson goal inspired Dundee to a convincing win over Motherwell at Fir Park.

His tremendous 35-yard strike four minutes after the break ignited the visitors after a dull first half.

Gavin Rae made it two after combining with Graham Byrne.

And Dundee sealed their victory late on when Motherwell skipper Benito Kemble fouled Barry Smith and sub James Grady hammered home the penalty.

Teams:

Motherwell: Goram, Corrigan, Kemble, Denham, McMillan, Twaddle, Valakari, Brannan, Townsley, Spencer, McCulloch. Subs: Goodman, Nicholas, Nevin, Woods, Davies.

Dundee: Douglas, Smith, Tweed, Wilkie, Ireland, McSkimming, Boyack, Rae, Robertson, Bayne, Falconer. Subs: Annand, Grady, Langfield, Van Eijs, Sharp.

Referee: Willie Young (Scotland)
