Haitians protest against tourist deaths More than ten thousand people have taken part in a demonstration in southern Haiti to protest against the killing last week of two French tourists and their Haitian driver. Schools and businesses were closed during the march, which was organised by the chamber of commerce in the city of Jacmel, a popular destination for French visitors. Local police say robbery appears to have been the motive for the murders, and have made a number of arrests. Correspondents say the killings have shocked residents of Jacmel, and have come as a blow to Haiti's struggling tourist industry, which has been hit by a high crime rate.
