Uganda stock exchange opens The first stock exchange in Uganda opened today in the capital, Kampala. Only one small company traded, but it saw its share price rise. In an interview with the BBC, the chief executive of the Uganda Security Exchange, Simon Rutega, said the stock exchange would grow as several more companies were preparing to float shares.
