Rezala extradition request incomplete The Portuguese authorities have said that the French request for the extradition of Sid Ahmed Rezala, who is suspected of having murdered three women, is incomplete. One of the victim's was the Birmingham university student, Isabel Peake. The Portuguese prosecutor said there were still important documents missing, but they might arrive by the end of the day. Mr Rezala -- who is reported to be a French citizen of Algerian origin -- was arrested in a suburb of Lisbon last Tuesday. He has denied the allegations. The French police allege that two of the women were murdered on trains last year. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
