Cocaine seized in Chile The Chilean authorities say they have seized seven and a half tons of cocaine in what they describe as their largest-ever cocaine haul. Officials say the drugs were hidden in the crane hook of a Panamanian ship docked in the northern port of Arica. The Chilean police searched the ship after the United States drugs enforcement agency tipped them off. The ship's twenty crew members have been arrested. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
