Kashmiri politician murdered A prominent member of the ruling National Conference Party in Indian Kashmir has been murdered by unidentified gunmen. Reports say the attackers entered the home of Ghulam Qadir Bhat at Malangpora in Pulwama district last night and overpowered guards before killing the politician, two of his relatives, and a policeman. The attackers escaped, though one was later found dead. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
