Police seek hit-and-run driver

location graphic Lee Ronan died after a night out in Bridgend

South Wales Police are continuing their investigation following a road accident in which a 22-year-old factory worker died.

Lee Ronan of Tondu, near Bridgend, was walking home from Bridgend town centre when he was knocked down.

Mr Ronan sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene on Pen-y-fai Road, Aberkenfig.

Detectives are hunting the driver of a Vauxhall Cavalier seen driving near the accident. Police said that the vehicle would have damaged its front near side during the incident.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We are appealing for the motorist to come forward and help us with our inquiries."

A Home Office pathologist is carrying out a post mortem and the coroner has been informed.
