Chileans vote in run-off presidential poll Some eight-million voters in Chile will choose their president in a second round of elections on Sunday. Correspondents say the two candidates, the Socialist, Ricardo Lagos, and the conservative, Joaquin Lavin, are running neck-and-neck. The first round of voting ended in a virtual tie, with some thirty-thousand ballots separating the two men. The winner will start a six-year term as president in March.
