Di Canio awaits his fate

Controversial Italian Paolo Di Canio could be back in trouble with the Football Association after appearing to make an obscene gesture to Aston Villa fans at the weekend.

The West Ham striker, who was infamously banned for pushing a referee to the floor, seemed to make the gesture at Upton Park on Saturday.

And he was involved in a clash with Villa keeper David James at the end of the game, which finished 1-1.

A spokesman said the FA would consider all the evidence over the next 48 hours before deciding whether to take action against Di Canio.

Leeds sign keeper cover

Leeds have completed the signing of Australia's Under-23 international goalkeeper Danny Milosevic.

The 21-year-old has signed a three-year contract after moving from Australian side Perth Glory for £100,000.

Milosevic, who is Mark Bosnich's deputy in the national squad, was on trial with Leeds before Christmas and the Elland Road club have now tied up the loose ends.

McAllister keen to carry on

Coventry captain Gary McAllister is confident he will be able to agree a new deal to stay at Highfield Road.

The 35-year-old is out of contract at Highfield Road in the summer and has still to be offered a new deal.

But the former Scotland captain insists there is "no panic" in terms of sorting out his future.

"I just want to play as long as I can - and at Coventry if they come to me with an offer," he said.

"It's entirely up to the club whether they come and speak to me, but I am quite sure that we shall sit down soon and that something will get sorted."
