Arkan killer's accomplice "found"

The main pro-government newspaper in Serbia, Politika, says the police have found an accomplice to the killing of the paramilitary leader known as Arkan.

The paper said the man was being treated in hospital for serious wounds received in the attack and would be questioned later.

It said the man had been identified from security camera footage from the Belgrade hotel lobby where Arkan and two people who were with him were shot and killed on Saturday.

Correspondents say the reports may be linked to authorities wanting to show that the investigation of the case is progressing, after opposition accusations of involvement in the case.
