Appeal to Ukrainian defectors The Ukrainian embassy in Pakistan has appealed for help in tracing more than seventy Ukrainian soldiers missing in Afghanistan during the Soviet intervention. Mujahideen guerrilla groups say most of them could have been killed in action but several had converted to Islam and stayed on in Afghanistan.
