Singapore investment in Indonesia The Prime Minister of Singapore, Goh Chok Tong, has been holding further talks with officials and ministers on the final day of his visit to Jakarta. Earlier Mr Goh proposed an investment and loan package worth more than seven-hundred billion dollars. The BBC Jakarta correspondent says the visit by Mr Goh and the accompanying business delegation is an important indication that foreign investors are beginning to consider Indonesia once again. He says political instability has until now deterred potential investors.
