Crystal Palace's future is still in the balance, according to the Selhurst Park club's administrator.

The Football League held a meeting about Palace with the FA, their legal advisors and representatives from Juventus and Strasbourg on Friday.

An administrator's spokesman said: "The potential conflict between League rules and Fifa rules on the treatment of club debts is the only stumbling block.

"But Juventus and Strasbourg's talks will be paramount to Palace's future."

Hibs on a roll

Hibernian continued their impressive tour of Trinidad and Tobago with a comfortable 2-0 victory over a West Connection side.

Goals from Dirk Lehmann and Russell Latapy ensured Alex McLeish's side returned to Edinburgh with two wins in two games after their 2-1 victory over Tobago last week.

The hosts frustrated Hibs in the first half but after the break the Easter Road side turned the screw and took a deserved lead in the 65th minute.

West Connection goalkeeper Michael McCommie dropped Latapy's corner and Paul Lovering knocked the ball across goal for German striker Lehmann to fire home.

With six minutes remaining Latapy grabbed the goal his performance deserved when he won possession just outside the box and drew the keeper before emphatically sliding the ball home.

No deal for Italians

Dundee manager Jocky Scott is unlikely to sign Italian trialists Gianfranco Circati and Ricardo Bonetto on permanent deals.

Central defender Circati played the full 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Yugoslav side Cukaricki while midfielder Bonetto came on for the last 20 minutes.

It was their second appearances in the dark blue shirts during the winter break in Cyprus but Scott said: "The two players have done reasonably well while we have been out here.

"However, as things stand I don't think that we will be taking matters any further."
