Court challenge over Tyson entry Campaigners against rape are mounting a legal challenge to the decision of the British Home Secretary, Jack Straw, to let the boxer Mike Tyson into Britain. Tyson is already in London training for a fight, but the campaigners want the High Court to order a judicial review of Mr Straw's decision. As a convicted rapist, Tyson would ordinarily have been barred from Britain; the campaigners say exempting him from the immigration rules sets the wrong example. Tyson is due to fight Julius Francis of Britain in Manchester later this month. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
