Team profile: Tunisia
In qualifying for the finals, Tunisia performed the best out of all the teams.
They were runaway leaders of their group, winning all but one of their matches. And at club level, Tunisian sides have also been impressive - getting to the finals of the three continental competitions. But they have never yet managed to convert this strength into Nations Cup success.
In the last two competitions they were knocked out by the hosts. South Africa beat them in the final in 1996, and they lost to Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals in 1998. They will hope to buck this trend in their first game against Nigeria.
