Anti-Doping Agency meets in Switzerland A new body set up to combat the illegal use of drugs in sport, the World Anti-Doping Agency, is holding its first meeting in the Swiss city of Lausanne. It aims to to put in place a new framework for dope-testing before the Sydney Olympics in September. Delegates include representatives of national governments and of the International Olympic Committee. They are hoping to unify the lists of banned substances, the penalties for taking them, and out-of-competition testing procedures. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
