Three die in Iranian clashes Iranian security forces are reported to have killed three members of the outlawed Iranian opposition group, the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation or MKO, in a clash near the Iranian border with Iraq, according to Iranian state television. The three were allegedly involved in an attack on the border town of Ilam earlier this month, in which three local residents died. The report said they were attempting to escape to Iraq, where the MKO is based. In a statement, the MKO confirmed that three of their fighters had died. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
