At least 12 die in Uganda attack

Reports from Uganda say at least twelve people have been killed and ten others wounded in a rebel attack on a camp for displaced people in the west of the country.

A Ugandan newspaper, the government-owned New Vision said the dead included two government soldiers, and blamed Monday's attack on rebels of the Allied Democratic Forces ADF.

It also said six people were abducted and fifty huts burned at the camp near Bundibugyo.

More than twenty people have been killed in the past four days in escalating rebel attacks in the area.
