Glasgow Rangers' legend John Greig is in hospital after suffering a heart attack.
A spokesman at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital said the former Rangers captain and manager was in a "comfortable" condition.
Greig, now Rangers' public relations officer, was admitted to hospital on Thursday.
A hospital spokesman said: "He was admitted to our coronary care unit. His condition has stabilised and he is comfortable.
"Mr Greig is sitting up in bed talking with his wife and son."
The spokesman declined to specify the nature of the heart condition which had caused Greig to be admitted to hospital.
Greig was capped 44 times for Scotland between 1964 and 1976.
The highlight of his playing career was the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1972 when, with Greig as team captain and defender, Rangers lifted the trophy beating Dynamo Moscow 3-2.
