Two kidnap victims freed in Yemen

The latest foreigners to be kidnapped in Yemen have been released unharmed.

A Chinese engineer working for a local construction firm and a German working for the Yemeni health ministry were kidnapped on Tuesday in separate incidents and were both released today Thursday.

It's not known what the kidnappers' demands were or whether they were met.

Correspondents point out that kidnapping is common in Yemen -- usually carried out by tribesmen with grievances against the government and foreign companies.

Most of the victims are later freed unharmed.
