Extra troops moved into Belfast
Extra troops have been moved onto the streets of Belfast in Northern Ireland to counter the increasing number of sectarian attacks, which have left eight people dead in little over a month. The soldiers are being brought in from other parts of the province which have been relatively unscathed in the latest round of violence. The Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, Ronnie Flanagan, has blamed the paramilitary group, the Ulster Freedom Fighters, for the murder of three Roman Catholics. Now there have been calls for the party which represents the group at the peace talks to account for its members' involvement in the murders or be thrown out.
