Britain's longest running child abuse tribunal will shortly enter its second year when it hears from a convicted paedophile.
A record number of witnesses have already been heard at the North Wales Tribunal at Ewloe, near Wrexham.
Many of them have described horrific scenes of physical and sexual abuse that is alleged to have taken place over a 20-year period.
But the Children's Society says the inquiry may not reveal all the facts.
Over the last twelve months it has heard from victims of abuse and abusers.
Senior social services staff have given evidence, along with some top civil servants in Wales.
On its first anniversary, the tribunal is moving to Mold Crown Court for the appearance of a convicted paedophile. John Allen, who was the owner of a group of children's homes in the Wrexham area, is serving a six-year sentence.
