Jordanians freed by Iraq arrive home

A group of some sixty Jordanian prisoners, who were released from Iraqi jails on Wednesday, have arrived home.

The freed prisoners, who include two women and five children, were to be flown from the Iraqi-Jordanian border to the capital Amman.

The Iraqis earlier handed them over to Jordan's leading Islamist activist, Leith Shubeilat.

Correspondents say most Jordanians see the exercise as a snub by Iraq to King Hussein -- Mr Shubeilat has served a prison sentence for slandering the King.
